Most people assume that the only reason to perform paint correction on your car is to enhance its visual appearance. This, however, is not the case. If your paint’s protective layer (clear coat) is damaged, the dirt and debris that lands on your car’s surface will eventually penetrate the surface more and more, leading to bigger problems such as sun damage, chipping, and color fading.

Paint correction involves several abrasive compounds to remove and repair the paints coating to its previous luster. We begin the process with a clay bar decontamination that removes microscopic particles that are otherwise unable to be removed during a standard wash. We then proceed to polishing which involves several aggressive polishing pads to remove marring, swirling, wash lines and scratches. Dependent on the unique condition of your paint, more than one stage of paint correction may be required to properly remove and eliminate existing defects. 

The process of paint correction first fills in any gaps in the car’s clear coat and then applying a protective layer (such as paint sealant or ceramic coating) to reduce the potential of any future damage to the car’s clear coat.
